पलायनकृतोत्साहा निरुत्साहा द्विषज्जये । आपके योद्धा शत्रुओंपर विजय पानेका उत्साह खो बैठे। अब वे भाग निकलनेमें ही उत्साह दिखाने लगे और युद्धसे मुँह मोड़कर चारों ओर भाग गये

palāyanakṛtotsāhā nirutsāhā dviṣajjaye |

Translation

సంజయుడు పలికెను—శత్రువులపై విజయం సాధించాలనే ఉత్సాహాన్ని మీ యోధులు కోల్పోయారు. ఇక పారిపోవడంలోనే వారికి ఉత్సాహం కనిపించింది; యుద్ధానికి వెనుదిరిగి అన్ని దిక్కులా చెదిరిపోయి పరుగెత్తారు.
