अजातशशणत्रु: कौन्तेय: सात्वतं प्रत्यभाषत । बाष्पगद्गदया वाचा मुहामानो मुहुर्मुहु: । कृत्यस्यानन्तरापेक्षी शैनेयं शिनिपुड़वम्
sañjaya uvāca | ajātaśatruḥ kaunteyaḥ sātvataṃ pratyabhāṣata | bāṣpa-gadgadayā vācā muhā-māno muhur muhuḥ | kṛtyasyānantara-apekṣī śaineyaṃ śini-puṅgavam ||
సంజయుడు పలికెను—అజాతశత్రువు కౌంతేయుడు యుధిష్ఠిరుడు సాత్వత వీరుని సంబోధించాడు. కన్నీళ్లతో గద్గదమైన వాణితో అతడు మళ్లీ మళ్లీ మోహితుడై పోయెను. జయద్రథవధ కార్యం ఆలస్యం లేకుండా నిర్విఘ్నంగా పూర్తికావాలని ఆతురతతో శినిశ్రేష్ఠుడైన శైనేయ సాత్యకిని పునఃపునః ఉద్దేశించి పలికెను.
