Educational Q&A

The verse highlights the ethical danger of krodha (anger): when wrath dominates, it magnifies destructive power and pushes combatants toward harsher, less discriminating violence—an implicit warning that inner restraint is part of dharma even amid war.

Sañjaya describes two figures as intensely enraged and immensely strong, characterized as a foremost rākṣasa and rākṣasī. The line functions as a vivid battlefield portrait, emphasizing their ferocity and the escalation of conflict.
