भूरिश्रवास्तु संक्रुद्ध: प्रतोद॑ चिच्छिदे हरे:,भूरिश्रवाने कुपित होकर श्रीकृष्णका चाबुक काट डाला और अर्जुनको तिहत्तर बाणोंसे गहरी चोट पहुँचायी
bhūriśravās tu saṅkruddhaḥ pratodaṃ cicchide hareḥ
సంజయుడు పలికెను—క్రోధావేశంతో భూరిశ్రవుడు హరి (శ్రీకృష్ణుడు) యొక్క చాబుకాన్ని కోసివేసి, అనంతరం డెబ్బైమూడు బాణాలతో అర్జునుని తీవ్రంగా గాయపరిచెను।
संजय उवाच
The verse highlights how anger (krodha) drives a warrior to target even the charioteer’s instruments, escalating conflict beyond immediate combat aims; it implicitly warns that loss of restraint in war can blur ethical boundaries and intensify harm.
Sañjaya reports that Bhūriśravā, furious, cuts Kṛṣṇa’s whip (the charioteer’s goad) and then attacks Arjuna with a heavy shower of arrows, increasing the ferocity of the engagement.
