त॑ कृच्छामापदं प्राप्तं दृष्टयवा परमधन्विन: । समापेतु: परीप्सन्तो धनंजयशरार्दितम्,धनंजयके बाणोंसे पीड़ित हुए दुर्योधनको भारी विपत्तिमें पड़ा हुआ देख श्रेष्ठ धनुर्धर योद्धा उसकी रक्षाके लिये आ पहुँचे
taṁ kṛcchrām āpadaṁ prāptaṁ dṛṣṭvā te paramadhanvinaḥ | samāpetuḥ parīpsanto dhanañjaya-śarārditam ||
సంజయుడు పలికెను—ధనంజయుడు (అర్జునుడు) వేసిన బాణాలతో బాధపడుతున్న దుర్యోధనుడు ఘోర ఆపదలో పడినట్లు చూచి, శ్రేష్ఠ ధనుర్ధరులు అతనిని రక్షించి బయటపడేయాలని తపనతో వేగంగా అక్కడికి చేరిరి.
संजय उवाच
The verse highlights the warrior-code emphasis on loyalty and protection of one’s leader in battle: when a commander is endangered, allied heroes feel compelled to rally and shield him, even amid great risk. Ethically, it reflects the kṣatriya ideal of standing by one’s side and not abandoning a comrade in संकट (crisis).
