भीष्मशिबिरगमनम् — Duryodhana’s Visit to Bhīṣma’s Camp and the Command Appeal

सकुण्डलं समुकुटं पद्मेन्दुसदृशप्रभम्‌ । इरावत: शिरो रक्षा: पातयामास भूतले,इरावानके कमल और चन्द्रमाके समान कान्तिमान्‌ तथा कुण्डल एवं मुकुटसे मण्डित मस्तकको काटकर राक्षसने धरतीपर गिरा दिया

sakuṇḍalaṃ samukuṭaṃ padmendusadṛśaprabham | irāvataḥ śiro rakṣāḥ pātayāmāsa bhūtale ||

సంజయుడు పలికెను—కుండలములు, మకుటముతో అలంకృతమై, పద్మచంద్రులవలె ప్రకాశించు ఇరావానుని శిరస్సును రాక్షసుడు నరికివేసి భూమిపై పడవేశెను।
