भीमसेनस्य प्रतिघातः—भगदत्तगजप्रहारः—घटोत्कचमायायुद्धम्

अर्धचन्द्रेण व्यूहेन व्यूहं तमतिदारुणम् । दक्षिणं शुड्रमास्थाय भीमसेनो व्यरोचत
sañjaya uvāca | ardhacandreṇa vyūhena vyūhaṃ tam atidāruṇam | dakṣiṇaṃ śṛṅgam āsthāya bhīmaseno vyarocata ||
సంజయుడు పలికెను—అత్యంత భయంకరమైన ఆ వ్యూహాన్ని ఎదుర్కొనుటకు అర్ధచంద్రాకార వ్యూహం కట్టి, దాని దక్షిణ శృంగం—కుడి పక్షంలో—స్థానమొందిన భీమసేనుడు ప్రకాశించెను।
