उनन्‍्ममाथ ततस्तालं ध्वजशीर्ष महात्मन: । फिर शिखाशून्य पंखयुक्त बाणका संधान करके उसके द्वारा महात्मा भीष्मके तालचिह्नयुक्त ध्वजका ऊपरी भाग काट डाला

Transliteration

unmamātha tatastālaṃ dhvajaśīrṣa mahātmanaḥ |

Translation

సంజయుడు పలికెను—అప్పుడు అతడు మహాత్ముడైన భీష్ముని తాళచిహ్నమున్న ధ్వజశిరస్సును కొట్టాడు. తరువాత శిఖలేని, రెక్కలున్న బాణాన్ని సంధించి, ఆ బాణంతో భీష్ముని ధ్వజపు పైభాగాన్ని కోసివేశాడు।
