Droṇa–Dhṛṣṭadyumna-yuddha (द्रोण-धृष्टद्युम्न-युद्धम्) — Tactical duel and allied interventions
तत्राद्भुतमपश्याम तयोघघोरें पराक्रमम् । अयुध्येतां स्थिरौ भूत्वा महत्या सेनया सह,वहाँ मैंने उन दोनोंका अदभुत और भयंकर पराक्रम देखा। वे दोनों ही अपनी विशाल वाहिनीके साथ स्थिरतापूर्वक खड़े होकर एक-दूसरेका सामना कर रहे थे
tatrādbhūtam apaśyāma tayor ghoram parākramam | ayudhyetāṁ sthirau bhūtvā mahatyā senayā saha ||
సంజయుడు పలికెను—అక్కడ నేను వారిద్దరి అద్భుతమైనను భయంకరమైనను పరాక్రమాన్ని చూచితిని. వారు తమ మహాసేనతో కలిసి స్థిరంగా నిలిచి పరస్పరం ఎదురెదురుగా యుద్ధానికి సిద్ధమయ్యారు.
