बुद्धियुक्तो जहातीह उभे सुकृतदुष्कृते । तस्माद्‌ योगाय युज्यस्व योग: कर्मसु कौशलम्‌,समबुद्धियुक्त पुरुष पुण्य और पाप दोनोंको इसी लोकमें त्याग देता है अर्थात्‌ उनसे मुक्त हो जाता है।* इससे तू समत्वरूप योगमें लग जा; यह समत्वरूप योग ही कर्मोमें कुशलता है अर्थात्‌ कर्मबन्धनसे छूटनेका उपाय है

buddhiyukto jahātīha ubhe sukṛtaduṣkṛte | tasmād yogāya yujyasva yogaḥ karmasu kauśalam ||

సంజయుడు పలికెను—“సమబుద్ధితో యుక్తుడైన వాడు ఈ జీవితంలోనే పుణ్యమూ పాపమూ—రెండింటినీ—వదులుతాడు; అంటే వాటి బంధక ఫలితాల నుండి విముక్తుడవుతాడు. కనుక సమత్వరూప యోగంలో నిమగ్నమవు; యోగమే కర్మలలో కౌశలం—బంధనం లేకుండా కర్మ చేయుట యొక్క విద్య.”
