सम्बन्ध-- उपर्युक्त श्लोकम्ों भगवान्‌ने युद्धका फल राज्ययुख या स्वर्गकी प्राप्तितक बतलाया,; किंतु अजुनने तो पहले ही कह दिया था कि इस लोकके राज्यकी तो बात ही कया है, मैं तो त्रिलोकीके राज्यके लिये भी अपने कुलका नाश नहीं करना चाहता; अतः जिसे राज्ययुख और स्वर्गकी इच्छा न हो उसको किस भावसे युद्ध करना चाहिये, यह बात अगले शलोकमें बतलायी जाती है-- सुखदु:खे समे कृत्वा लाभालाभौ जयाजयौ । ततो युद्धाय युज्यस्व नैवं पापमवाप्स्यसि,जय-पराजय, लाभ-हानि और सुख-दुःखको समान समझकर उसके बाद युद्धके लिये तैयार हो जा, इस प्रकार युद्ध करनेसे तू पापको नहीं प्राप्त होगा

sukha-duḥkhe same kṛtvā lābhālābhau jayājayau | tato yuddhāya yujyasva naivaṁ pāpam avāpsyasi ||

సుఖదుఃఖాలను సమానంగా చేసి, లాభనష్టాలు, జయాపజయాలను కూడా సమంగా భావించి, ఆపై యుద్ధానికి నిమగ్నమవు. ఈ విధంగా యుద్ధం చేస్తే నీవు పాపాన్ని పొందవు.
