Transliteration

na kiñcit pratyapadyanta putrās te bharatarṣabha | bharataśreṣṭha! tān mahān śaktimān ca bharatavaṃśīnāṃ pitāmahaḥ bhīṣmaḥ hataḥ; tasmin hate tava putrāṇāṃ kiñcid api na pratyabhavat || sammohaś caiva tumulaḥ kurūṇām abhavat tadā ||

Translation

సంజయుడు పలికెను—ఓ భరతవృషభా, నీ కుమారులు ఏమాత్రం తేరుకోలేకపోయిరి. భరతుల పితామహుడైన మహాబలుడు భీష్ముడు పడిపోవడంతో ఆ సమయంలో కురువులలో ఘోరమైన, కలవరపెట్టే మోహం వ్యాపించెను.
