विराटस्य प्रियो भ्राता शतानीको निपातित: । शतानीकं च समरे हत्वा भीष्म: प्रतापवान्
virāṭasya priyo bhrātā śatānīko nipātitaḥ | śatānīkaṃ ca samare hatvā bhīṣmaḥ pratāpavān ||
సంజయుడు అన్నాడు—విరాటుని ప్రియ సోదరుడు శతానీకుడు పడిపోయాడు. సమరంలో శతానీకుణ్ని సంహరించి ప్రతాపవంతుడైన భీష్ముడు ముందుకు సాగాడు.
