Shloka 11

अश्वत्थामा तु समरे सात्यकि नवशि: शरै: । त्रिंशता च पुनस्तूर्ण बाह्वोरुगसि चार्पयत्‌,अश्वत्थामाने समरभूमिमें सात्यकिको पहले नौ बाणोंसे घायल करके फिर तुरंत ही तीस बाणोंद्वारा उनकी भुजाओं तथा छातीमें गहरी चोट पहुँचायी

aśvatthāmā tu samare sātyakiṁ navaśiḥ śaraiḥ | triṁśatā ca punas tūrṇaṁ bāhv-urugasi cārpayat ||

సమరంలో అశ్వత్థాముడు మొదట సాత్యకిని తొమ్మిది బాణములతో గాయపరచి, వెంటనే మరల ముప్పై బాణములను అతని భుజాలు, తొడలు, వక్షస్థలములలో దించాడు।
