भीष्मपर्व — अध्याय ११०: पार्थभीमयोः प्रहारः तथा भीष्माभिमुखं संग्रामविस्तारः
Arjuna and Bhima’s pressure; escalation toward Bhishma
एवमामन्त्रय ते वीरा: पाण्डवा: पाण्डुपूर्वजम् जग्मुस्ते सहिता: सर्वे वासुदेवश्च वीर्यवान्,वे वीर पाण्डव इस प्रकार सलाह करके सब एक साथ मिलकर अपने पिता पाण्डुके भी पितृतुल्य भीष्मपितामहके पास गये; उनके साथ पराक्रमी भगवान् वासुदेव भी थे
evam āmantrya te vīrāḥ pāṇḍavāḥ pāṇḍu-pūrvajam jagmus te sahitāḥ sarve vāsudevaś ca vīryavān
సంజయుడు పలికెను—ఇలా మంత్రించి ఆ వీర పాండవులు అందరూ కలిసి పాండువంశానికి పెద్దవాడైన, తండ్రితో సమానంగా పూజ్యుడైన భీష్మ పితామహుని వద్దకు వెళ్లారు; వారి వెంట పరాక్రమశాలి వాసుదేవుడూ ఉన్నాడు.
