यद् दुर्लभं हि लोकेडस्मिन् रत्नमत्यद्भुतं महत् | तदानयेयं तपसा न हि मे<त्रास्ति संशय:,“इस लोकमें जो अत्यन्त दुर्लभ, अद्भुत एवं महान् रत्न हो, उसे भी मैं तपस्याके बलसे ला सकता हूँ; इसमें संशय नहीं है”
yad durlabhaṁ hi loke 'smin ratnam atyadbhutaṁ mahat | tad ānaye'yaṁ tapasā na hi me 'trāsti saṁśayaḥ ||
గౌతముడు అన్నాడు—“ఈ లోకంలో అత్యంత దుర్లభమైన, అద్భుతమైన, మహత్తరమైన ఏ రత్నమైనా—తపస్సు బలంతో నేను తెచ్చగలను; ఇందులో నాకు ఎలాంటి సందేహమూ లేదు.”
