Marutta’s Sacrifice: Indra’s Threat, Saṃvarta’s Mantric Restraint, and Divine Reconciliation (अध्याय १०)
बृहस्पति याजकं त्वं वृणीष्व वजन वा ते प्रहरिष्यामि घोरम् । वचदश्षेदेतन्न करिष्यसे मे प्राहैतदेतावदचिन्त्यकर्मा,अचिन्त्यकर्मा इन्द्र कहते हैं--'राजन्! आप बृहस्पतिको अपने यज्ञका पुरोहित बनाइये। यदि आप मेरी यह बात नहीं मानेंगे तो मैं आपपर भयंकर वज्रका प्रहार करूँगा”
vyāsa uvāca | bṛhaspatiṃ yājakaṃ tvaṃ vṛṇīṣva vajraṃ vā te prahariṣyāmi ghoraṃ | vacaś ced etan na kariṣyase me prāha etāvad acintyakarmā ||
వ్యాసుడు పలికెను—అచింత్యకర్ముడైన ఇంద్రుడు ఇలా అన్నాడు—“రాజా! నీ యజ్ఞానికి ఋత్వికుడిగా బృహస్పతిని ఎన్నుకో. నా ఆజ్ఞను పాటించకపోతే, నేను నీపై ఘోరమైన వజ్రప్రహారం చేస్తాను.”
