Pitṛ-śrāddha-haviḥ-phala-nirdeśa

Offerings for Ancestors and Their Stated Results

हुताशनस्तु बुबुधे मण्डूकस्य च पैशुनम्‌ शशाप स तमासाद्य न रसान्‌ वेत्स्यसीति वै,अग्निदेव समझ गये कि मेढकने मेरी चुगली खायी है; अतः उन्होंने उसके पास पहुँचकर यह शाप दे दिया कि “तुम्हें रसका अनुभव नहीं होगा”

hutāśanas tu bubudhe maṇḍūkasya ca paiśunam | śaśāpa sa tam āsādya na rasān vetsyasīti vai ||

భీష్ముడు పలికెను—అగ్నిదేవుడు కప్ప చేసిన దుష్ట చాడీని గ్రహించాడు. అతని దగ్గరకు వెళ్లి శపించాడు—“నీవు రుచుల రసాన్ని ఎరుగవు.”
