Pitṛ-śrāddha-haviḥ-phala-nirdeśa

Offerings for Ancestors and Their Stated Results

कुशस्तम्बे जुहोत्यग्निं सुवर्णे तत्र च स्थिते । वल्मीकस्य वपायां च कर्णे वाजस्य दक्षिणे,कुशोंके समूहपर, उसपर रखे हुए सुवर्णपर, बाँबीके छिद्रमें, बकरेके दाहिने कानपर, जिस मार्गसे छकड़ा आता-जाता हो उस भूमिपर, दूसरेके जलाशयमें तथा ब्राह्मणके हाथपर वैदिक प्रमाण माननेवाले पुरुष अग्निस्वरूप मानकर होम आदि कर्म करते हैं और वह होमकार्य सम्पन्न होनेपर भगवान्‌ अग्निदेव आनन्ददायिनी समृद्धिका अनुभव करते हैं

kuśastambe juhoty agniṁ suvarṇe tatra ca sthite | valmīkasya vapāyāṁ ca karṇe vājasya dakṣiṇe |

వసిష్ఠుడు పలికెను—కొంతమంది కుశస్తంభంపై, అక్కడ ఉంచిన స్వర్ణంపై, వల్మీక రంధ్రంలో, లేదా మేక కుడి చెవిపై—అగ్ని స్వరూపమని భావించి హోమం చేస్తారు.
