Educational Q&A

Dharma is enacted through orderly, respectful performance of prescribed duties: honoring accomplished sages, beginning rites with foundational acts like offering water, and proceeding step by step without neglecting proper sequence.

Bhishma describes initiating a set of ritual obligations: he first seats many Siddhas and rishis before him and then begins the ceremonial acts, starting with the offering of water, indicating the formal commencement of the rites.
