Brāhmaṇa-vandana: Criteria for Veneration, Disciplined Speech, and Protective Kingship (अनुशासनपर्व, अध्याय ८)
पश्यामि लोकानमलान् शुचीन् ब्राह्मणयायिन: । तेषु मे तात गन्तव्यमह्वाय च चिराय च,तात! ब्राह्मणकी सेवामें रहनेवाले पुरुषको जिन पवित्र और निर्मल लोकोंकी प्राप्ति होती है, उन्हें मैं यहींसे देखता हूँ। अब शीघ्र मुझे चिरकालके लिये उन्हीं लोकोंमें जाना है
paśyāmi lokān amalān śucīn brāhmaṇayāyinaḥ | teṣu me tāta gantavyam āhvāya ca cirāya ca ||
భీష్ముడు పలికెను—బిడ్డా! బ్రాహ్మణసేవలో నిలిచినవారు, బ్రాహ్మణమార్గాన్ని అనుసరించేవారు పొందే నిర్మలమైన పవిత్ర లోకాలను నేను ఇక్కడినుంచే దర్శిస్తున్నాను. ఇక త్వరలోనే నాకు పిలుపు వస్తుంది; దీర్ఘకాలం కోసం నేను ఆ లోకాలకే వెళ్లవలసి ఉంది.
