समाम्नायो5समाम्नायस्तीर्थदेवो महारथ: । निर्जीवो जीवनो मन्त्र: शुभाक्षो बहुकर्कश:
samāmnāyo 'samāmnāyas tīrthadevo mahārathaḥ | nirjīvo jīvano mantraḥ śubhākṣo bahukarkaśaḥ ||
వాయుదేవుడు పలికెను—ఆయన సమామ్నాయుడు—వేదస్వరూపుడు—మరియు అసమామ్నాయుడును—వేదాతీతమైన స్మృతి, ఇతిహాస, పురాణ, ఆగమస్వరూపుడు. ఆయన సమస్త తీర్థముల దేవుడు, మహారథుడు. నిర్జీవుడివలె కనిపించినా జీవనదాత; ఆయన మంత్రస్వరూపుడు. ఆయన దృష్టి మంగళమయము; కాని ప్రళయకాలమున అత్యంత కఠినుడై అనన్యుడగును।

The verse presents a comprehensive vision of the divine as the source and support of all sacred authority: both Vedic revelation (samāmnāya) and the wider sacred tradition (asamāmnāya).
