द्वारवत्यां समासीन पुरा मां कुरुनन्दन । प्रद्युम्न: परिपप्रच्छ ब्राह्म॒णैः परिकोपित:,कुरुनन्दन! पहलेकी बात है, एक दिन ब्राह्मणोंने मेरे पुत्र प्रद्युममको कुपित कर दिया। उस समय मैं द्वारकामें ही था। प्रद्युम्नने मुझसे आकर पूछा--
Dvāravatyāṃ samāsīnaḥ purā māṃ Kurunandana | Pradyumnaḥ paripapraccha brāhmaṇaiḥ parikopitaḥ ||
వాయు అన్నాడు—ఓ కురునందన! పూర్వకాలంలో నేను ద్వారవతిలో నివసిస్తూ ఉండగా, కొందరు బ్రాహ్మణులు రెచ్చగొట్టడంతో నా కుమారుడు ప్రద్యుమ్నుడు కోపగించి, నా వద్దకు వచ్చి నన్ను ప్రశ్నించాడు.
