वायुदेव उवाच शृणुष्वावहितो राजन्‌ द्विजानां भरतर्षभ | यथा तत्त्वेन वदतो गुणान्‌ वै कुरुसत्तम,भगवान्‌ श्रीकृष्णने कहा--कुरुकुलतिलक भरतभूषण नरेश! मैं ब्राह्मणोंके गुणोंका यथार्थरूपसे वर्णन करता हूँ, आप ध्यान देकर सुनिये

Transliteration

vāyudeva uvāca | śṛṇuṣvāvahito rājan dvijānāṃ bharatarṣabha | yathā tattvena vadato guṇān vai kurusattama ||

Translation

వాయుదేవుడు అన్నాడు—ఓ రాజా, భరతశ్రేష్ఠా! ఏకాగ్రతతో వినుము. ఓ కురుశ్రేష్ఠా! నేను ద్విజుల (బ్రాహ్మణుల) గుణాలను తత్త్వానుసారంగా యథార్థంగా వివరిస్తున్నాను.
