अध्याय १६ — शङ्कर-उमा-वरदानम् तथा तण्डि-स्तुतिः (Śaṅkara–Umā Boon-Granting and Taṇḍi’s Hymn)
नूनमद्य कृतार्था: सम नून॑ प्राप्ता: सतां गतिम् । यां गतिं प्रार्थयन्तीह ज्ञाननिर्मलबुद्धयः
nūnam adya kṛtārthāḥ sma nūnaṁ prāptāḥ satāṁ gatim | yāṁ gatiṁ prārthayantīha jñāna-nirmala-buddhayaḥ ||
వాయు పలికెను— నిశ్చయంగా ఈ రోజు మేము కృతార్థులమయ్యాము; నిశ్చయంగా సత్పురుషులు పొందే ఆ గతిని మేము పొందాము. జ్ఞానంతో నిర్మలమైన బుద్ధి కల జ్ఞానులు ఈ లోకంలో ఏ గమ్యాన్ని కోరుతారో, అదే గమ్యాన్ని మేము నిశ్చయంగా పొందాము; అందువల్ల ఈ రోజు మేము నిజంగా సిద్ధులమయ్యాము.
