अध्याय १६ — शङ्कर-उमा-वरदानम् तथा तण्डि-स्तुतिः (Śaṅkara–Umā Boon-Granting and Taṇḍi’s Hymn)

इन्द्रियाणीन्द्रियार्थाश्व॒ प्रकृतिभ्य: परं ध्रुवम्‌ । विश्वाविश्वपरोभावद्चिन्त्याचिन्त्यस्त्वमेव हि,आप ही इन्द्रियाँ और इन्द्रियोंक विषय हैं। आप ही प्रकृतिसे परे निश्चल एवं अविनाशी तत्त्व हैं। आप ही विश्व और अविश्व--दोनोंसे परे विलक्षण भाव हैं तथा आप ही चिन्त्य और अचिन्त्य हैं

indriyāṇīndriyārthāś ca prakṛtibhyaḥ paraṃ dhruvam | viśvâviśva-paro bhāvāc cintyācintyas tvam eva hi ||

వాయు పలికెను— నీవే ఇంద్రియాలు, ఇంద్రియవిషయాలు కూడా. నీవే ప్రకృతికి అతీతమైన ధ్రువమైన, అవినాశి తత్త్వం. నీవే విశ్వం మరియు అవిశ్వం—రెండింటికీ అతీతమైన ఆ విశిష్ట భావం; నీవే చింత్యమూ అచింత్యమూ.
