गवां मध्ये तु पठतो गावो<स्य बहुवत्सला: । प्रस्थाने वा प्रवासे वा सर्वावस्थां गत: पठेत्
gavāṁ madhye tu paṭhato gāvo ’sya bahuvatsalāḥ | prasthāne vā pravāse vā sarvāvasthāṁ gataḥ paṭhet |
భీష్ముడు పలికెను—గోవుల మధ్య ఇది జపించువానిపై గోవుల వాత్సల్యం ఎంతో పెరుగుతుంది. కాబట్టి ప్రయాణారంభ సమయంలో గానీ, పరదేశవాసంలో గానీ—ఏ స్థితిలో ఉన్నా—మనిషి దీనిని జపించవలెను.
