दम्पत्यो: समशीलत्वं धर्म: स्याद् गृहमेधिन: । गृह्माणां चैव देवानां नित्यपुष्पबलिक्रिया
dampatyoḥ samaśīlatvaṃ dharmaḥ syād gṛhamedhinaḥ | gṛhyāṇāṃ caiva devānāṃ nityapuṣpabalikriyā ||
గృహస్థుని ధర్మం—భర్త భార్యల స్వభావం, ఆచారం సమరసంగా ఉండటం. అలాగే గృహంలో నివసించే దేవతలకు ప్రతిదినం పుష్పార్పణం, బలి (అన్ననైవేద్యం) అనే నిత్యక్రియను ఆచరించాలి.
