Śiva-nāmānukīrtana-prastāvaḥ

Prologue to the praise of Śiva and the Upamanyu testimony

यथा ते जनिताः पुत्रा रुक्मिण्यां चारुविक्रमा: । तथा ममापि तनयं प्रयच्छ मधुसूदन,“मधुसूदन! चारुदेष्ण, सुचारु, चारुवेश, यशोधर, चारुश्रवा, चारुयशा, प्रद्युम्म और शम्भु--इन सुन्दर पराक्रमी पुत्रोंकोी जिस प्रकार आपने रुक्मिणीदेवीके गर्भसे उत्पन्न किया है उसी प्रकार मुझे भी पुत्र प्रदान कीजिये”

yathā te janitāḥ putrā rukmiṇyāṃ cāruvikramāḥ | tathā mamāpi tanayaṃ prayaccha madhusūdana ||

హే మధుసూదనా! రుక్మిణీ గర్భమున నీకు సుందర పరాక్రమశాలులైన కుమారులు జన్మించినట్లే, నాకూ ఒక కుమారుని ప్రసాదించు.
