Śiva-nāmānukīrtana-prastāvaḥ

Prologue to the praise of Śiva and the Upamanyu testimony

दण्डी छत्री च कुण्डी च द्विजानां धारणस्तथा । षण्मुखो वै बहुमुखस्त्रिनेत्रो बहुशीर्षक:

daṇḍī chatrī ca kuṇḍī ca dvijānāṃ dhāraṇas tathā | ṣaṇmukho vai bahumukhas trinetro bahuśīrṣakaḥ ||

వాసుదేవుడు అన్నాడు—ఆయన ద్విజుల చిహ్నాలైన దండం, ఛత్రం, కుండి (కమండలువు)లను ధరిస్తాడు. కొన్నిసార్లు షణ్ముఖుడై, కొన్నిసార్లు బహుముఖుడై; కొన్నిసార్లు త్రినేత్రుడై, మరికొన్నిసార్లు బహుశిరస్సులతో కనిపిస్తాడు.
