हव्यवाहे तु यः पिण्डो दीयते तन्निबोध मे । पितरस्तेन तृप्यन्ति प्रीता:ः कामान् दिशन्ति च
havyavāhe tu yaḥ piṇḍo dīyate tan nibodha me | pitaras tena tṛpyanti prītāḥ kāmān diśanti ca ||
హవ్యవాహుడైన అగ్నిలో ఏ పిండాన్ని అర్పిస్తారో, దాని విషయాన్ని నన్ను బట్టి గ్రహించు. ఆ అర్పణతో పితృదేవతలు తృప్తి చెందుతారు; సంతోషించి మనిషికి కావలసిన కోరికలను ప్రసాదిస్తారు.
