उपवासफलात्मकविधिः — Upavāsa as Yajña-Equivalent Merit

वीणानां वल्लकीनां च वेणूनां च विशाम्पते । सुघोषैर्मधुरै: शब्द: सुप्त: स प्रतिबोध्यते,प्रजानाथ! वह साठ हजार वर्षोतक स्वर्गमें निवास करता है और वहाँ वीणा, वल्लकी, वेणु आदि वाद्योंके मनोरम घोष तथा सुमधुर शब्दोंद्वारा उसे सोतेसे जगाया जाता है
vīṇānāṁ vallakīnām ca veṇūnāṁ ca viśāmpate | sughoṣair madhuraiḥ śabdaḥ suptaḥ sa pratibodhyate prajānātha ||
అంగిరసుడు పలికెను—ఓ విశాంపతే, నరాధిపా! వీణలు, వల్లకీలు, వేణువుల మధురమైన, మనోహరమైన నాదములతో నిద్రిస్తున్నవాడిని మృదువుగా మేల్కొలుపుదురు.
