Praise of Ācāra as the Basis of Longevity, Fame, and Prosperity
तोयपूर्व प्रदायान्नमतिथि भ्यो विशाम्पते । पश्चाद् भुञज्जीत मेधावी न चाप्यन्यमना नर:
toyapūrvaṃ pradāyānnam atithibhyo viśāmpate | paścād bhuñjīta medhāvī na cāpy anyamanā naraḥ ||
భీష్ముడు పలికెను—ఓ ప్రజాపతీ! ముందుగా అతిథులకు జలాన్ని సమర్పించి, ఆపై అన్నాన్ని నివేదించాలి. తరువాతే జ్ఞానవంతుడు తానే భుజించాలి; భోజన సమయంలో మనస్సు చంచలంగా ఉండకూడదు.
