नहुषोपाख्यानम्—दीपदान-धूप-बलीकर्म-प्रशंसा

इत्येतां बुद्धिमास्थाय नहुष: स नरेश्वरः । सुरेन्द्रत्वं महत्‌ प्राप्प कृतवानेतददभूतम्‌,इसी विचारधाराका आश्रय लेकर राजा नहुषने महान देवेन्द्रपद पाकर यह अदभुत पुण्यकर्म सदा चालू रखा था

ity etāṁ buddhim āsthāya nahuṣaḥ sa nareśvaraḥ | surendratvaṁ mahat prāpya kṛtavān etad adbhutam ||

భీష్ముడు పలికెను— ఈ బుద్ధిని ఆశ్రయించి నరేశ్వరుడైన నహుషుడు మహత్తరమైన ఇంద్రపదాన్ని పొందిన తరువాత కూడా ఈ అద్భుత పుణ్యాచారాన్ని ఆచరించి, నిరంతరం కొనసాగించాడు.
