अथ पर्यायश: सर्वान् वाहनायोपचक्रमे । पर्यायश्चाप्यगस्त्यस्य समपद्यत भारत,नहुषने बारी-बारीसे सभी ऋषियोंको अपना वाहन बनानेका उपक्रम किया था। भारत! एक दिन महर्षि अगस्त्यकी बारी आयी
atha paryāyaśaḥ sarvān vāhanāyopacakrame | paryāyaś cāpy agastyasya samapadyata bhārata ||
తర్వాత అతడు క్రమంగా అందరు ఋషులను తన వాహనంగా చేయడానికి ఉపక్రమించాడు. ఓ భారతా! ఆ పరిణామంలో ఒక రోజు అగస్త్యుని వంతు కూడా వచ్చింది.
