स ऋषीन्‌ वाहयामास वरदानमदान्वित: । परिहीणक्रियश्वैव दुर्बलत्वमुपेयिवान्‌

Transliteration

sa ṛṣīn vāhayāmāsa varadānamadānvitāḥ | parihīṇakriyaś caiva durbalatvam upeyivān |

Translation

వరాల మదంతో అహంకారానికి లోనై అతడు ఋషులతో తన వాహనాన్ని మోయించసాగాడు. దాంతో ధర్మాచరణం, నియత కర్మలు విడిచిపెట్టి, క్రమంగా బలహీనుడయ్యాడు—ధర్మబలం లేనివాడయ్యాడు.
