Genealogical Recitation

mahādhano yo yajate suyajñair yaḥ sarvavidyāsu vinītabuddhiḥ | vedān adhītya tapasā yojya dehaṃ divaṃ samāyāt puruṣo vītamohaḥ ||

Educational Q&A

Wealth, learning, and religious practice become spiritually fruitful only when joined to humility and self-discipline: perform worthy sacrifices, cultivate a modest trained intellect, study the Vedas, and practice austerity—then one becomes free of delusion and attains heaven.

The speaker states a general dharmic maxim: describing the qualities of an ideal person—rich yet righteous, learned yet humble, and devoted to Vedic study and tapas—and declares the resulting merit, namely ascent to heaven.
