ययाति–दौहित्रसंवादः
Yayāti and the Grandsons: Discourse on Lokas, Dāna, and Satya
तस्मात् सान्त्वं सदा वाच्यं न वाच्यं परुषं क्वचित् | पूज्यान् सम्पूजयेद् दद्यान्न च याचेत् कदाचन,इसलिये कभी कठोर वचन न बोले। सदा सान्त्वनापूर्ण मधुर वचन ही बोले। पूजनीय पुरुषोंका पूजन (आदर-सत्कार) करे। दूसरोंको दान दे और स्वयं कभी किसीसे कुछ न माँगे
tasmāt sāntvaṃ sadā vācyaṃ na vācyaṃ paruṣaṃ kvacit | pūjyān sampūjayed dadyān na ca yācet kadācana ||
అందుచేత ఎల్లప్పుడూ సాంత్వన కలిగించే మధుర వాక్యమే పలకాలి; ఎప్పుడూ కఠిన వాక్యము పలకకూడదు. పూజ్యులను సమ్యగ్గా పూజించాలి, ఇతరులకు దానం చేయాలి, తాను మాత్రం ఎప్పుడూ ఏదీ అడగకూడదు.
