ययाति-देवयानी-शर्मिष्ठा विवादः — Śukra’s Curse and the Disclosure of Lineage
तत्र वासो देवयान्या: शर्मिष्ठा जगृहे तदा । व्यतिमिश्रमजानन्ती दुहिता वृषपर्वण:,तब वे सभी कनन््याएँ एक साथ जलसे निकलकर अपने-अपने अनेक प्रकारके वस्त्र, जो निकट ही रखे हुए थे; लेने लगीं। उस सम्मिश्रणमें शर्मिष्ठाने देवयानीका वस्त्र ले लिया। शर्मिष्ठा वृषपर्वाकी पुत्री थी; दोनोंके वस्त्र मिल गये हैं, इस बातका उसे पता नहीं था
tatra vāso devayānyāḥ śarmiṣṭhā jagṛhe tadā | vyatimiśram ajānantī duhitā vṛṣaparvaṇaḥ ||
అక్కడ ఆ సమయంలో వృషపర్వుని కుమార్తె శర్మిష్ఠ, వస్త్రాలు కలగలిసిపోయిన సంగతి తెలియక, అనుకోకుండా దేవయానీ వస్త్రాన్ని తీసుకుంది.
