Educational Q&A

The verse implicitly cautions that anger (krodha) overwhelms discernment and courtesy: acting 'without looking' signifies disregard born of impulse, which can precipitate further conflict and ethical fallout.

A woman, driven by anger, leaves for home without acknowledging Devayānī; immediately afterward, King Yayāti, son of Nahuṣa, arrives at the same location, marking a transition to the next development in the episode.
