Śukra’s Ultimatum and Devayānī’s Demand (शुक्र-प्रतिज्ञा तथा देवयानी-वर-याचना)

यदा न कुरुते पापं सर्वभूतेषु कहिचित्‌ । कर्मणा मनसा वाचा ब्रह्म सम्पद्यते तदा,“जब मनुष्य मन, वाणी और क्रियाद्वारा कभी किसी भी प्राणीके प्रति बुरा भाव नहीं करता, तब वह ब्रह्मको प्राप्त हो जाता है”

yadā na kurute pāpaṁ sarvabhūteṣu kahicit | karmaṇā manasā vācā brahma sampadyate tadā ||

వైశంపాయనుడు పలికెను—మనిషి క్రియచేత, మనసుచేత, వాక్చేత ఎప్పుడూ ఏ జీవిపట్ల పాపం చేయనప్పుడు, అప్పుడు అతడు బ్రహ్మాన్ని పొందుతాడు.
