त्रासयन्तो5भिनिध्नन्तः सर्वभूतगणांश्न ते । विचेरु: सर्वशो राजन्‌ महीं शतसहसत्रश:,राजन! वे असुर लाखोंकी संख्यामें उत्पन्न हुए थे और समस्त प्राणियोंको डराते- धमकाते तथा उनकी हिंसा करते हुए भूमण्डलमें सब ओर घूमते रहते थे

Transliteration

trāsayanto 'bhinighnantaḥ sarvabhūtagāṇāṃś ca te | viceruḥ sarvaśo rājan mahīṃ śatasahasraśaḥ ||

Translation

వైశంపాయనుడు పలికెను—రాజా! వారు శతసహస్రాల సంఖ్యలో, సమస్త భూతగణములను భయపెట్టి కొట్టుచూ, భూమియందు అన్ని వైపులా సంచరించుచుండిరి.
