कुरुवंशप्रश्नः—दुःषन्तस्य राजधर्मवर्णनम्

य इदं श्रावयेद्‌ विद्वान्‌ ये चेदं शृणुयुर्नरा: । ते ब्रह्मण: स्थानमेत्य प्राप्रुयुर्देवतुल्यताम्‌,जो विद्वान्‌ इस आख्यानको सुनाता है और जो मनुष्य सुनते हैं, वे ब्रह्मतोकमें जाकर देवताओंके समान हो जाते हैं

ya idaṁ śrāvayed vidvān ye cedaṁ śṛṇuyur narāḥ | te brahmaṇaḥ sthānam etya prāpnuyur devatulyatām ||

వైశంపాయనుడు పలికెను—ఈ ఆఖ్యానాన్ని పఠించి వినిపించే విద్వాంసుడూ, దీనిని వినే నరులూ బ్రహ్మలోకాన్ని చేరి దేవతలతో సమానత్వాన్ని పొందుదురు।
