दहन्ति सर्वभूतानि त्वत्तो निष्क्रम्य हेतय: । जातवेदस्त्वयैवेदं विश्व सृष्ट महाद्युते,प्रलयकालमें आपसे ही भयंकर ज्वालाएँ निकलकर सम्पूर्ण प्राणियोंको भस्म कर डालती हैं। महान् तेजस्वी जातवेदा! आपसे ही यह सम्पूर्ण विश्व उत्पन्न हुआ है
dahanti sarvabhūtāni tvatto niṣkramya hetayaḥ | jātavedas tvayaivedaṃ viśvaṃ sṛṣṭaṃ mahādyute ||
ప్రళయకాలంలో నీ నుండే బయలుదేరిన భయంకర జ్వాలలు సమస్త ప్రాణులను దహించి భస్మం చేస్తాయి. ఓ మహాద్యుతి జాతవేదా! నీ ద్వారానే ఈ సమస్త విశ్వం సృష్టించబడింది।
