खाण्डवप्रस्थप्रवेशः तथा इन्द्रप्रस्थनिर्माणवर्णनम् | Entry into Khāṇḍavaprastha and Description of Indraprastha’s Founding

विनिवृत्तो वृतं दृष्टवा द्रौपद्या श्वेतवाहनम्‌ । त॑ तु दुःशासनो व्रीडन्‌ मन्दं मन्दमिवाब्रवीत्‌,द्रपदकुमारी कृष्णाने श्वेतवाहन अर्जुनको (जयमाला पहनाकर उनका) वरण किया है, यह अपनी आँखों देखकर राजा दुर्योधनके मनमें बड़ा दुःख हुआ। वह अभश्व॒त्थामा, मामा शकुनि, कर्ण, कृपाचार्य तथा अपने भाइयोंके साथ (ट्रपदकी राजधानीसे) हस्तिनापुरके लिये लौट पड़ा। मार्ममें द:ःशासनने लज्जित होकर दुर्योधनसे धीरे-धीरे (इस प्रकार) कहा --

Vinivṛtto vṛtaṁ dṛṣṭvā draupadyā śvetavāhanam | taṁ tu duḥśāsano vrīḍan mandaṁ mandam ivābravīt ||

వైశంపాయనుడు పలికెను— తిరిగి వస్తూ ద్రౌపది వరించిన శ్వేతవాహన అర్జునుని చూచి దుఃశాసనుడు లజ్జతో, మెల్లగా మెల్లగా మృదుస్వరంతో పలికెను।
