ततो्र्जुन: प्रत्यविध्यदापतन्तं शितै: शरै: । कर्ण वैकर्तनं श्रीमान् विकृष्प बलवद् धनु:,तब तेजस्वी अर्जुनने अपने धनुषको जोरसे खींचकर अपनी ओर वेगसे आते हुए सूर्यपुत्र कर्णको कई तीक्ष्ण बाण मारे
tato 'rjunaḥ pratyavidhyad āpatantaṁ śitaiḥ śaraiḥ | karṇaṁ vaikartanaṁ śrīmān vikṛṣya balavad dhanuḥ ||
అప్పుడు శ్రీమాన్ అర్జునుడు ధనుస్సును బలంగా లాగి, తన వైపు వేగంగా దూసుకొస్తున్న సూర్యపుత్రుడు వైకర్తన కర్ణుణ్ణి అనేక తీక్ష్ణ బాణాలతో ఛేదించాడు।
