अफ---रा+ >> अष्टपञ्चाशर्दाधिकशततमोब ध्याय: ब्राह्मण-कन्याके त्याग और विवेकपूर्ण वचन तथा कुन्तीका उन सबके पास जाना वैशम्पायन उवाच तयोर्दु:खितयोर्वाक्यमतिमात्र निशम्य तु । ततो दुःखपरीताज़्ी कन्या तावभ्यभाषत,वैशम्पायनजी कहते हैं-जनमेजय! दु:खमें डूबे हुए माता-पिताका यह (अत्यन्त शोकपूर्ण) वचन सुनकर कन्याके सम्पूर्ण अंगोंमें दुःख व्याप्त हो गया; उसने माता और पिता दोनोंसे कहा--

vaiśampāyana uvāca | tayor duḥkhitayor vākyam atimātraṃ niśamya tu | tato duḥkhaparītāṅgī kanyā tāv abhyabhāṣata |

వైశంపాయనుడు పలికెను— ఓ జనమేజయా! దుఃఖంలో మునిగిన తల్లిదండ్రుల అత్యంత శోకభరిత వాక్యాలను విని, ఆ కన్య అంతటా విషాదం వ్యాపించింది; అప్పుడు ఆమె తల్లి, తండ్రి ఇద్దరినీ ఉద్దేశించి పలికెను—
