धृतराष्ट्रस्तु पुत्रेण श्रुव्वा वचनमीरितम् | मुहूर्तमिव संचिन्त्य दुर्योधनमथाब्रवीत्,अपने पुत्रकी कही हुई यह बात सुनकर धृतराष्ट्र दो घड़ीतक भारी चिन्तामें पड़े रहे; फिर दुर्योधनसे बोले
dhṛtarāṣṭras tu putreṇa śrutvā vacanam īritam | muhūrtam iva sañcintya duryodhanam athābravīt ||
కుమారుడు పలికిన మాటలు విని ధృతరాష్ట్రుడు క్షణకాలం ఆలోచించి, ఆపై దుర్యోధనునితో ఇలా పలికెను.
