The Birth of Kṛpa and Kṛpī; Kṛpa’s Attainment of Astras
मृगाभिशापान्नष्टं मे जननं हाकृतात्मन: । नृशंसकारिणो भीरु यथैवोपहतं पुरा
mṛgābhiśāpān naṣṭaṃ me jananaṃ hākṛtātmanaḥ | nṛśaṃsakāriṇo bhīru yathaivopahataṃ purā ||
వైశంపాయనుడు చెప్పెను— జింక శాపం వల్ల నా సంతానోత్పత్తి శక్తి నశించింది. నేను నన్ను నేను అదుపులో పెట్టుకోలేకపోయాను; క్రూరకర్మ చేశాను. ఓ భీరువా! అందుకే నా జననశక్తి కూడా అప్పుడు నేను ఆ జింకను చంపి దాని సంగమాన్ని అడ్డుకున్నట్లే నశించింది।
