तं॑ राजा सह तैश्लौरैरन्वशाद्‌ वध्यतामिति । स रक्षिभिस्तैरज्ञात: शूले प्रोतो महातपा:,राजाने उन चोरोंके साथ महर्षिको भी प्राणदण्डकी आज्ञा दे दी। रक्षकोंने उन महातपस्वी मुनिको नहीं पहचाना और उन्हें शूलीपर चढ़ा दिया

taṁ rājā saha taiś caurair anvāśād vadhyatām iti | sa rakṣibhis tair ajñātaḥ śūle protaḥ mahātapāḥ ||

రాజు ఆ చోరులతో పాటు ఆ మహర్షినీ వధించమని ఆజ్ఞాపించాడు. రక్షకులు ఆ మహాతపస్విని గుర్తించక శూలంపై ఎక్కించారు.
